Here are some of the beautiful instruments we've worked on recently. For our latest, follow us on Instagram @forestwoodinstruments.
Our Workshop
Although our workshop is modest, it is well organised, and great care has been taken to acquire the best tools and supplies to make quality work easier.
Most of our tools come from esteemed Luthier supplier StewMac, together with quality supplies from local luthier supply companies. We believe that good tools don't guarantee a great job, but they make it easier to achieve!

Luthier-built Tele
Our player's son, an expert carpenter/joiner built this beautiful Tele for his Dad. Featuring a truly unique part-acrylic body and Fender neck, this beauty came in for a restring and clean up. I think you'll agree it's something special, especially the gleaming fretboard and frets.

This lovely great-value instrument came in for a setup. We re-cut the nut slots, reshaped the nut to fretboard radius, re-seated the saddle to produce a great playing action, dressed and polished the frets, and re-invigorated the electronics. I'm particularly happy with the fret end dress on this one. Came up beautifully.

This guitar was our player's first guitar, bought with his grandfather. It came in for a restring, but we couldn't help but give it some TLC - fretboard clean and fret polish, along with some action correction. See more.

Squier Strat Revival
I wanted to see what could be done to improve a cheap instrument, so bought a 10 year old Squier Affinity Series Strat for $175 from Gumtree.
